The SIBN supports the Saint Ignatius football program's initiative to stop the violence.
Under the leadership of Saint Ignatius Defensive Backs Coach Tyrone White, the Wildcat football team has taken up the cause of ending the youth on youth violence that can be found throughout the United States. Students leading the charge to put a stop to the violence include Seniors Kevin Smith, Anthony Luvison, Christian Sanders, Marcus Primes, Kevin Hopkins, Kevin Johnson and Juniors Bobby Grebenc, Josh Turner, and Ryan Gibbons.
The SIBN will continue to promote the Stand Against Violence movement throughout the 2009-2010 sports seasons.
The group asks that people sign a petition to bring awareness to the growing problem of youth-on-youth violence. In order to sign the petition, go to www.standagainstviolence.org and become part of the movement! Students have already appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Triv show on WTAM 1100, Fox 8 News, and Munchin in the Morning on WKNR 850.
