Mark Szwejkowski is a junior commentator for two of the SIBN's new online ventures. He is currently the head color analyst for soccer, and is expected to take a larger role during the hockey season. Szwejkowski or "Shwyman" has played Lacrosse at Saint Ignatius and also rowed crew for a short period of time. Szwejkowski is currently a junior who began working with the SSID this year, leading to his first appearance on the air. His knowledge of the less publicized Wildcat Sports gives him a unique point of view from which to speak on the air. As many flock to football games, Szwejkowski has missed less than five games through the entire soccer season. His efforts have made him a perfect analyst for broadcasts in soccer and hockey in the coming year.
In September, Szwejkowski took over the running color analysis for Saint Ignatius soccer. He covered 6 games in some role on the Cats run to the State Championship.
In December he took over, with Paul Martin, as the head of hockey broadcasting for the SIBN. He has covered most of the SIBN broadcasts this season, and has severed in a commentating role on live video broadcasts. Szwejkowski was calling the color for the SIBN's first ever state championship broadcast against Sylvania Northview.
